Recommended Pin Box Replacement for Lippert 1716 To Add Air Ride Suspension

I would like to replace my Lippert 1716 with the new flex air. I have a 2011 30 RL Grand Junction by Dutchman. I have a chucking problem that I have to fix or else get a different unit. What do you suggest. Thanks

For your chucking issue on your 2011 Dutchmen Grand Junction trailer with Lippert 1716 pin box, you can either address the chucking at the hitch, or the better option is adding air to your pin box replacement. Unfortunately there is not a Flex-Air option for your pin box replacement.

There are however two really good options for you to consider. The first is the Trailair Air Ride 5th Wheel Pin Box - Lippert 1716 - 21,000 lbs # LC158777 which has the air bag and shock combination that are easy to see and easy to adjust.

The other option is the 5th Airborne Premium Fifth Wheel Air Ride Coupler - Extended - 12-1/2" Wide Air Ride # 5AB-E510-710 which has the air bag and the shock hidden in the outer housing. This model is not as easy to adjust unless you add the Easy Fill Retro Fit Kit for 5th Airborne # 58382.

Both options have an easy to use sticker adjustment assist and both are rated for 21,000 lbs capacity, so it comes down to style preferences.
