Question:
I am replacing the LCI model # 181794 A-Frame jack on my 2015 Eclipse, Attitude Toyhauler 27IFBG. The LCI jack does not perform well when lifting my tow vehicle when placing the bars on my Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution hitch. After reviewing several jacks I settled on the Bulldog BD500199, however I have read your QandA on this jack and on some questions you have recommended the Husky Super Brute. My question is will the Bulldog fit on my trailer without turning it 90 degrees as some people have done. My trailer seems to have a shorter than normal A-Frame. Also in my situation is the Husky worth the extra money over the Bulldog?

The Bulldog A-frame trailer jack # BD500199 is an excellent choice. I don't see any reason why you would have to rotate it 90 degrees for installation so no worries there. The easiest way to get more clearance between the tow vehicle and trailer is to just use a longer ball mount than what you have now. If interested I have linked the fixed ball mount main page for you.
The Husky Brute HT87247 was a good jack but is now discontinued. I would now recommend the Stromberg Carlson # SC63VR which has a 4500 pound lifting capacity and features a clutch to prevent damage from over extending or retracting the jack foot, which is a common problem. The extra lifting capacity means it will run smoother and more easily.
Is all of this worth the additional cost? That depends on the user and what features they are looking for. For some people it would absolutely be worth the additional money. Others may not require all of the bells and whistles. I have linked videos showing both jacks in action to help you make the final decision.
