Can CURT Font Mount Trailer Hitch C31013 Be Mounted on a 2001 Toyota Tacoma with a Grille Guard

Question:
Can a front hitch be mounted with a full grille guard on a 2001 Toyota Tacoma? I know I have seen this done on other trucks but after reading the installation instructions for both I am beginning to question whether it is possible on mine.

You have done the right thing by reading the installation instructions. Since CURT Front Mount Receiver, # C31013, was not tested on vehicles with any type of grille guard, the only way to determine fit is to look at the instructions for both parts.
In the CURT instructions which I have linked for reference, you will see that at the front frame rails of your 2001 Toyota Tacoma there should be 3 holes. The front most hole is just a hole that will be enlarged to install the hitch. The 2 holes behind that have weldnuts inside. If the grille guard you have mounts in the same place of needs that area of the frame for any reason, the hitch cannot be mounted.
