Install Tips for Curt Hitch Installed on 2018 Mercedes Benz CLA 250
Updated 08/21/2018 | Published 08/19/2018 >
Question:
I just finished this installation on a 2018 CLA250. Im glad you are showing the installation time as 2 hours as opposed to the 30-60 minutes on the sheet. Mine took about 3 + as one person with all proper tools and minimal break time. Its also my car so the quality of the intallation was also a time factor For a 2018, some additional notes would be that the exhaust tips need to removed, four total bolts, torx t30, and there are bolts holding on the panel just outboard the exhaust tips 2 10mm. Additionally there is a wire which passes through the frame and connects at the lower back of the panel. When installation was completed there was very little clearance and I chose to relocate the connector. The hitch is super solid and fits perfectly. Its just time consuming and tucking the bumper assembly back under the fascia would be a lot easier with two people.
