Will the Derale 13504 Fit a 2012 Toyota Sienna

Published 08/15/2018

Question:

Hello, I have a 2012 Toyota Sienna, with the factory tow package, but it does not have an auxillary transmission cooler besides the factory in radiator I am towing a heavy trailer, and while I have already purchased a brake controller, and weight distribution, I am consistently seeing transmission temperatures over 220 degrees. As such, I have decided that an auxillary cooler would be prudent. I have narrowed my choices down to the Derale 13503 and the 13504. I have measured my available space at about 12 in wide and about 16 in tall, so the 13504 with its a lower price and extra cooling capacity would seem to be the logical choice, but I see that the 13504 is labeled to not fit my van, while the 13503 is. I see that the 13504 is taller, but with my roughly 16 in of space, I would assume that either would fit? Do you know why the 13504 is listed as not to fit?

Technically any transmission cooler will fit any vehicle that has enough room for it. The reason why we have the Derale # D13503 listed as a fit and not the Derale # D13504 is simply because we haven't been able to test fit one in a 2012 Toyota Sienna as of yet (August 2018). It very well could fit (as you have found) but we don't want to list everything as a confirmed fit if we haven't tested it yet.

If you have enough room then you can definitely install the Derale # D13504.
