The surround-type trailer coupler locks can only fit couplers that have a maximum width of 4-1/2". For a 5" wide coupler you will need to use a latch lock such as the Master Lock Trigger Style Coupler Lock for 1-7/8" and 2" Couplers # 605DAT or Trailer Coupler Lock # e98886
