Installing Rear View Safety SimpleSight Wireless Backup Camera # RVS-355W

Question:
I have read the questions, and I have to be dumb here to ask some obvious ones. 1. Looking at the photos of the product, it would really be nice to see one installed. Especially installed on the rear wall, and not the roof. 2. I am sure the wires shown are power wires since this is wireless? Guessing 12 volt? So on the trailer, you have to run a wire to the battery which is always at the front of the trailer near the hitch. 3. How do the LED lights work? Nighttime sensor or on all the time? 4. How does the camera turn on and off?

The Rear View Safety SimpleSight Wireless Backup Camera System # RVS-355W that you referenced does use a wireless camera in terms of its connection to the monitor. The wiring included is just needed to power the monitor (DC12-24V) and camera (DC 12V).
The infrared LED lights on the camera will always be on when the camera is powered.
How the camera turns on and off will depend on how you connect its wiring. If you are just wanting to use this system as a backup camera, then you will connect it to the reverse light circuit wire on your vehicle for power. In this case the camera would only power on when putting the vehicle in reverse and turn off as soon as you shift back into drive. If you were to wire it to a more constant power source like the running light circuit then the camera would simply stay on as long as your running lights are on.
Unfortunately we do not yet have a picture of this system installed.
