Replacement ST175/80R13 Tires and Wheels With 5 on 4-1/2 Bolt Pattern

Published 08/14/2018

Question:

Since it is lug centric, does the center bore matter? Also, can I not just put load range D tires on the existing wheels?

I went through each of our wheel and tire combos that have ST175/80R13 tires and wheels with a 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern and the smallest center bore diameter available is 2.99".

These wheels and tires are each load range C with a maximum capacity of 1,360 lbs at 50 psi. These are the Contender # AC13R45SM, which has a silver mod wheel and the Provider # A13RSMPVD which has a steel mod wheel with a silver PVD finish.

There are no load range D tires with a 2.99" center hub so you would need to have to go with a 3.19" center hub and the best options for that are the Karrier # AM31985 with a white wheel and Karrier # AM31998 with an aluminum wheel.

Since lug centric wheels slide onto the studs on the hubs and are secured with lug nuts your 2.6" center bore is not going to be an issue. Additionally, yes, you can just put load range D ST175/80R13 tires on your existing wheels, the Karrier ST175/80R13 Radial Trailer Tire - Load Range D # AM10210 will fit 13" x 4-1/2", 13" x 5" and 13" x 5-1/2" wheels.
