The Stromberg Carlson Trailer Tray Cargo Carrier # CC-255 referenced in your question features a 300 pound weight capacity and maximum inside dimensions of 32 inches long and 20 inches wide. I took a look at the specs for your Honda 6500 inverter generator and found that it has a dry weight of 220 pounds and overall dimensions of 41.9 inches long and 27.2 inches wide.

While I do recommend verifying these dimensions with your existing generator (there appear to be a few different models of the 6500), it does appear that your generator is a bit too large to sit within the side walls of this cargo tray.

This is the only A-Frame carrier like this that we have available, so your best option might be to use a hitch-mounted carrier instead like the Pro Series # PS1040100. This carrier features usable dimensions of 48 inches long, 31-3/4 inches wide, and 2-3/4 inches deep. You will just want to make sure the trailer hitch and your trailer have the needed tongue weight capacity for your generator.

If you don't yet have a hitch on your trailer, I recommend taking a look at the Curt # 13703. This particular hitch is specifically designed for RVs and trailers and can fit frames of 22 to 72 inches wide. It can be bolted on with the included hardware or welded on for a no-drill application. It features a 350 pound tongue weight capacity. Just note that Curt does require that a stabilizing strap # 18050 be used for any non-trailer loads like the above mentioned cargo carrier.
