Question:

I have a Thule Adventurer roof box I have used for years with the Thule load bars and various foot kits on the side bars. My current car 2015 Rav4 does not fit the Thule foot kit I used on my 2012 Rav4 so I bought 2 load bars that do clamp on the factory side bars. The new load bars are shaped like the newer style Thule Aero so I need to mount those load bars onto the Adventurer box. I see you have rectangular U-bolts ~3+ x 3+ that should fit the new load bars but I believe the 3 sided Thule nuts have a non-compatible thread. Your QandAs refer to an Easy Snap Housing. How does that work?

The Thule Adventurer attaches to roof rack crossbars using hardware # TH04997. This hardware will fit around bars up to 3-3/4 inches wide. So if the standard hardware does not fit around the bars that you have then the u-bolts you mentioned, the EasySnap also will not fit. Also the EasySnap hardware is not a fit for the Adventurer box.
