Question:
Rhino Roof Rack - gutter mount - Car is 1997 Toyota Land Cruiser - I need to clear the factory roof rack, so the bottom of the new crossbars need to be at least 5.5inch higher than the gutter. I see six RL150 gutter mount legs 5-9/10inch tall. Is that 5-9/10inch dimension to the top of the crossbar or the bottom of the crossbar? I want a 71inch black crossbar. Which RL150 leg should I get?

Expert Reply:
The Rhino-Rack Roof Rack Legs - Gutter Mount - 5-9/10" Tall - Qty 4 # RL150S13-2 are measured from the inside channel of the rain gutter to the underside of the crossbar according to my tech contact at Rhino-Rack. This may or may not give you enough clearance for your 1997 Toyota Land Cruiser factory roof rack clearance when you have some flex in the crossbars.
If you need taller towers, the rain gutter mounts you want are the Rhino-Rack Roof Rack Legs - 8-3/10" Tall - Qty 2 # RL210S2 (which requires 2 sets).
Then you will want the Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Crossbars - Aluminum - Black - 71" Long - Qty 2 # RRVA180B-2. I also recommend the Rhino-Rack Locking Endcaps for Vortex Aero Crossbars - Metal Cores - Qty 4 # RRVA-LEC4 if you will be utilizing the T-slots.
