Question:
Does this wine cooler use freon?

Expert Reply:
The Everchill Wine Cooler # 324-000115 is an AC-powered (115-volt) wine cooler than uses the R600a type refrigerant, also called isobutane.
This is NOT Freon gas and it is considered to have negligible ozone depletion potential and very low global warming potential. It is considered to be a very environmentally-friendly alternative.
This wine cooler also offers adjustable shelves, multiple temperature zones (to suit different wines) and its door can be reversed if desired. Please refer to the linked video for more on this item.
