How to Use Air Bags with a Weight Distribution System on a Ford F-350
Question:
I have airbag already installed on my F350 truck, but have continued to experience sway in my bumper pull 25foot toy hauler. So I just purchased a Reese stabilizer hitch, because I have read that this will remedy the problem. My question is, how much air if any should I run in my air bags?

When using a set of airbags with a weight distribution system you will first want to set the pressure in the airbags until you have taken the majority of the vehicle sag out of the equation then set the spring bars on the weight distribution system to get rid of the remaining sag. There is not an exact psi that the bags will need to be set as this will vary depending on the tongue weight of the trailer. The psi range in the airbags can be anywhere from 5-100 psi.
If you do not have an on-board air compressor system on your F-350 and you would like to add one then I recommend the Firestone Air Command I Compressor System with Analog Gauge part # F2097 which is an excellent cost effective system that comes with a compressor, inflation valves, and gauge display.
I have attached an install video of this system installed on a similar F-350 for you as well.
