Hi - Want a bar/basket combination that is lightweight but will keep cargo bags off the sunroof. Any recommendation?

Apparently there is both an SUV version and coupe version of the 2018 Mercedes GLC 43, which seems odd but ok. So I will provide recommendations for both.

First, the SUV version. The roof rack that is going to compliment your GLC the most is the Thule Wingbar # TH711400, feet # TH710601, and fit kit # TH186020.

Now for the coupe model. Once again I recommend the AeroBlade Edge system. The part numbers for the coupe model are different though. For black you would need # TH7602B-TH7603B or for silver use # TH7602-TH7603. And for either you would need fit kit # THKIT3159.

Then for a basket I recommend the Yakima OffGrid Roof Cargo Basket # Y07138. This is really simple to install and it has a great aero-style design which will help to accent the style of your vehicle.
