Question:
Im just wondering what the difference is in these two mirror extenders: the Longview Item # CTM1200 and the CIPA Item # CM10200. Tryin to decide which one to get... Thanks.

Both the CIPA Custom Towing Mirrors # CM10200 and the Longview # CTM1200 are confirmed to fit your 1998 Chevy C/K Series Pickup as long as the factory mirrors aren't equipped with additional lighting features that are not flush with the mirror. These custom towing mirrors feature an extremely similar design, as both have a fully adjustable mirror, an aerodynamic shape, and simple no-tool installations.
I have attached an installation video for both mirrors on your truck so you can see the small differences in how the mirror actually secures to the factory housing.
Between the two options, I recommend going with the CIPA # CM10200. The locking mechanical knob on the unit will provide a bit of a tighter fit, reducing any vibration during travel. I also think its particular design offers a somewhat sleeker look on the truck than the Longview model.
