Question:
I have a 1956 Chevy and would like a cooling fan for the front of the radiator. Thermosttaic controlled 12 volt power. Do you have a perfect fit for me and easy instructions to mount it? I have a 40 year gap of hot rodding! and working under the hood. Craig

In order to determine the correct fit fan for the front of the radiator on your 1956 Chevy you will need to measure the area in front of your radiator and determine how much room you have to work with.
The Derale Radiator Fan # D18910 that you referenced has overall dimensions of 11-1/2 inches wide by 10-3/4 inches tall and 2-3/8 inches deep. If you find that you have room in front of your radiator for a fan with these dimensions then this fan should work for you.
However, you should note that you will most likely need a fan that pulls more CFM than that. For a fan that should pull enough CFM for a small block V8 I would recommend a Derale 16 inch High Output Radiator Fan # D16926. I attached installation instructions for this product as well. The dimensions for this product are on the product page.
For a thermostatic switch to turn the fans on and off at the right temperatures you would want a Derale Thermostatic Fan Control # D16735.
