For thee 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee, is the heavy duty transmission cooler, D13504, designed to bypass the stock radiator incorporated transmission cooler? Use it as a stand alone cooler?

The Derale High Performance Class III Transmission Cooler, part # D13504, will be used in conjunction with your existing transmission cooler. The cooler will install inline with the existing transmission lines.
