Dexter Electric Over Hydraulic Actuator Recommendation for Drum Brakes
Updated 05/14/2018 | Published 05/11/2018 >
Question:
Can a Dexter 1600 psi brake actuator be converted to a 1000 psi for drum brakes? Someone put a 1600 psi actuator on my drum brake trailer and it keeps blowing out wheel cylinders.

I wish there was a pressure reducer, but you'll have to swap out your disc brake Dexter Electric Over Hydraulic actuator for the drum brake version # K71-650 and you'll be set.
