Would I be able to install this on the back of my trailer?

In order to install the Pack'Em Rack for Open Utility Trailers part # PK-6-OP1 on your utility trailer, I recommend attaching the uprights to the wooden sidewalls of the trailer or trimming the wooden side walls to allow the uprights to sit flush on the frame. I have attached a customer submitted photo of this for you to give you a better idea. The rear liftgate that you are referring to would not be a suitable place to mount this rack.
