Troubleshooting Trailer Sway After Installing Timbren Suspension Enhancement on 2015 Ford F-150

Question:

I just installed Timbren on my 2015 F150 4wd. I am now towing the same trailer I always do and the sway is awful with no wind or vehiclonear by. I am making constant steering corrections. On my WD hitch, I am always at 5 links. Without making any other adjustments, do I go to 4 links, or 6 links?

If you are getting constant sway on your trailer the solution is most likely to address the way the trailer is loaded. The persistent sway you are describing is almost always caused by not having enough trailer tongue weight. You need to have your tongue weight between 10 and 15 percent of the total trailer weight to be prevent the type of sway you are experiencing.

Other possible issues is that the trailer isn't sitting level enough. You might have your trailer sitting nose high now with additional suspension support and lowering it will help.
