Question:
I recently purchased a trailer harness of the 4 pin type, can you tell me if one of those pins is a ground from vehicle to trailer as I have power to lights tested with a 12V tester but lights dont work and they are new lights, Im thinking its a ground issue

The ground wire of Wiring Harness # 118538 is going to be the white wire. As per the linked instructions, you are going to need to drill a 3/32" hole and secure that wire with the included eyelet and screw. The ground location should be on bare metal that is free from any type of rust.
