Why is the Draw-Tite Hitch not Lining Up with My 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport?

Question:

Good afternoon, I bought a trailer hitch for a 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander. The hitch doesnt fit. The one they sent me doesnt fit my truck. No, it fits through it. The exhaust pipe measures 91 inches. My trucks hitch is 100 inches. I dont know what happened. I dont know whats going on. If you can help me, please. Thank you.

Hello Andred,

I am sorry to hear that things are not lining up. First I need to make sure that you do not have the PHEV model, and that yours is the 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport and not just the Outlander? In your question you put Outlander and in the fitguide you have Outlander Sport. The Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # 76098 will only fit the Sport model as the frames are different. If you have the just the Outlander you will need # 75888 just as long as you do not have the PHEV model.

If it is the 2018 Outlander Sport, I attached an install video where Randy will walk you through the install process.

Can you please confirm your year, make, and model for me?

@Andres Someone will be reaching out to you today to resolve this issue. I checked your VIN and you do NOT have the Sport Model which explains why things are not matching up.
