Question:
Will this product work in place of the factory installed brake controller? Will I need to modify anything or can I just unplug the factory controller and plug in the prodigy?

You will be able to use the Tekonsha P3 Brake Controller # 90195 and Wiring Harness, # 3021-P, on your 2010 Dodge Ram with factory integrated brake controller. But there are some things you will need to do in order to complete the installation.
First, you will need to visit a local Dodge Dealership and have them remove the sales code (XHC). The TIPM (Totally Integrated Power Module) will need to be reconfigured. Once the sales code has been disabled you can disconnect the ITBM electrical connector, under the dash, without getting the warning lamp.
Once the TIPM has been reconfigured, and the ITBM has been unplugged, you can use a vehicle specific brake control harness # 3021-P to install the aftermarket brake control.
