Question:
I have a 2001 ford f150 with 6.5 foot bed. What rail kit would I need for this hitch. This is for the 16115 hitch. Thanks

Expert Reply:
For your 2011 Ford F-150 with 6-1/2 foot bed you can use 5th wheel rail kit # C16437-204. The Curt E16 hitch # C16115 will fit but it is a fixed hitch. Short bed trucks require a slider hitch unless the trailer is very narrow or has a tapered front cap designed to be towed by a short bed truck. Otherwise the trailer can make contact with the truck cab when making tight turns.
The slider version of the E16 hitch is # 16516.
