How to Install a Brake Controller on a 2018 Lexus GX 460

Question:

Have a 2018 GX 460 it came with the wiring piglet that goes under the dash but it has five wiresThe Prodigy 2 Only has 4wires As seen in the photos in the last photo I have is what I think should be wired up but I’m not sure the two green wires the one red wire help

I have attached a photo of what the pigtail on the Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter for Electric Brake Controllers part # 3040-P looks like. If this plug matches the plug on your vehicle then it will allow you to install the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Trailer Brake Controller part # 90885 on your 2018 Lexus GX 460. I called Tekonsha and they have not yet confirmed this harness to work on your vehicle as it has not been tested. However, as long as the plugs are the same it should still work for you. The number of wires going into the vehicle plug does not need to match the number of wires that goes into the brake controller.
