The easy-to-pull ring on the Hopkins Endurance Easy-Pull Harness # HM48044 referenced in your question features an inner diameter of 1 inch. The ring's outer diameter is 1-7/8 inches.
This is a really nice 4-Way flat trailer connector that has a 4 foot long harness that you can splice into your vehicle's wiring. I have attached a short video demonstration on this product that you can also take a look at.
