How does the rope lock in place to support bike?

The Malone Hoist System - 120 lbs # MPG346 uses padded hooks and rope with a tie-off cleat that you mount to your wall. There is not a locking system other than this, so you don't need to be concerned about a mechanical failure and a bike locked to your ceiling.
