How to Remove End Caps on Rhino Rack ROC25 Roof Rack

Question:

i have purchased a rhino vortex roof rack and I cannot figure how to remove the end caps when the key is inside the bar with ends already on without chance of damaging the plastic key can you help me ?

The end caps on the Rhino-Rack Roof Racks, such as part # RR35SR are removed by simply inserting the key and turning it counter clockwise. When turning the key, the caps should come right off the feet that are mounted to the vehicle's roof.
