How to Install Electric Brake Controller Instructions for a 2006 Dodge Ram with Tow Package
Published 04/09/2009 >
Question:
The Draw-Tite 1-4 Brake Electronic Brake Controller, part # 5504, does not have a wiring diagram specific to any vehicle, as it can be installed in almost any vehicle. I have added a link to the controller instructions below that instruct how it is to be wired. However, if you have a 2006 Dodge Ram with a tow package, you should have a small port located under your dash. We offer a Universal Brake Controller Adapter for Dodge trucks, part # 3020-S, which will plug into this port. Then, you will just need to use the four butt connectors supplied to connect the wires on the adapter to the wires coming out of the back of the 5504 brake controller. You will simply match the colors of the wires.
