How is a drinking hose different from a garden hose?

The difference between a garden hose and a drinking water hose such as # CAM22823 is the materials and ratings each is made of. Some hoses have materials that contain lead or other materials that are not safe for consumption. A drinking water hose does not have those materials and so it can be rated for potable water.
