Question:
Which receiver lock is preferable for my new 2017 F250? Bulldog Item # BD580412 OR Weigh Safe Hitch Receiver Lock for 2, 2-1/2, and 3inch Hitches - 3-1/2inch Span - WS05

Helpful Expert Reply:
If your 2017 Ford F-250, whether you have the 3 inch receiver or the 2-1/2 inch, the two options you gave of the Bulldog Hitch Receiver Lock - Extra Long - Flush Design for 2-1/2" Trailer Hitches # BD580412 and the Weigh Safe Hitch Receiver Lock for 2, 2-1/2, and 3inch Hitches - 3-1/2inch Span # WS05 are both great options. The usable length of the Bulldog lock is 3-1/2 inches so it will work with a 3 inch receiver as well as the 2-1/2 listed in the description. I like the look of the Bulldog locking pin better, but I like the key style of the Weigh Safe locking pin better. They will both function well, so it comes down to your preference in design style.
