Question:

Today I purchased a Reese 16K Fifth wheel RP30047 and the sidewinder # RP34FR you recommended for my 2017 Ram 5.5 short bed. Also got the rails RP50142. I am just double checking back with you to make certain this is all going to work on my truck. Thank you in advance.

Based on the part number you gave for your Mor/Ryde pin box it sounds like you have a pin box based on the Lippert 1621 pin box.

Which then for the correct Sidewinder you would want the part # RP34FR.

Since your truck has a 5-1/2 foot bed the Sidewinder pin box is exactly what you need to give you the turning clearance you'll need.

Everything you ordered looks good and will work great together! The rail kit # RP50142-58 fits the truck, the Sidewinder fits the trailer, and the hitch # RP30047 fits the rails and Sidewinder. The only thing else I'd recommend is going with a custom wedge like part # SWW-03 as this is designed specifically for the hitch you ordered's jaws to make connecting to the Sidewinder easier. If you do not have a 7-way in the bed of your truck the # 41157 will give you a second 7-way you can install up near the wheel well to make connecting to the trailer a bit easier.
