Question:
I got a 7 way conversion kit recently from you guys. I have fitted the connections for the brake assist blue wire and grounded the plug. I was told that the 12 v supply was in the loom along with the brake control cable. Not true! - I have opened the loom at several places right up to the back axle area, definitely no cables apart from the brake control and the wires from the original 4 way plug. Could you let me see a photograph showing the location of the power wire please? I am at a loss as to where it could be! Help!

In order to install a brake controller on your 2007 Ford Expedition you will want to use the Adapter 4-Pole to 7-Pole and 4-Pole part # 37185 as this will give you both 4 and 7 way connection points on the rear of your vehicle. The rest of the wires needed to install a brake controller should already be present.
When you do decide to purchase a brake controller, I recommend using the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Trailer Brake Controller part # 90885 as this is one of our most popular and best selling brake controllers. The controller comes with integrated safeguard to protect your vehicle/trailer and is very easy to setup and use. In order to plug this controller into the vehicle you will want to use the Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter for Electric Brake Controllers part # 3035-P.
I have attached an installation video of the 4 to 7-way wiring harness installed on a similar 2010 Ford Explorer for reference.
