Does Isolation Solenoid # PK5231201 Have to Mount in a Specific Orientation
Updated 12/13/2017 | Published 12/12/2017 >
Question:
Does this isolation solenoid need to be mounted vertically, the way you show in your pictures? Another online store pictures them horizontally, FWIW. Can I mount it flat on its back, with mounting brackets downward? Im having trouble finding places to PUT this solenoid and the 40A circuit breaker, in a MINI Cooper Clubman engine bay. Im still hypothesizing havent bought any parts yet.

The isolation solenoid part # PK5231201 that you referenced does not have to mount in any particular orientation to work properly. Basically it only needs to be wired up properly and it's good to go.
The positions of the solenoid in our pictures are not based on how it has to install.
