How to Carry 4 Snowboards on a 2011 Ford Flex

Question:

What do I need to buy for my Ford Flex 2011? I need to carry 4 snowboards. I was looking at the Yakima roof rack system. But will any snowboard carrier fit? Thanks!

In order to carry 4 snowboards on the roof of your 2011 Ford Flex you will need a roof rack system and snowboard carrier. For a roof rack system that will work well for you I recommend the Yakima Roof Rack System part # Y00409, part # Y03536, and part # Y00147 for models with factory raised side rails.

Any snowboard carrier than is compatible with the 1-1/8" diameter round crossbars on either of the above roof rack systems will work well for you. I recommend taking a look at the Yakima FatCat EVO 6 part # Y03096 which can carry up to 6 pairs of skis or 4 snowboard and will not require adapters to carry snowboard with tall bindings. This carrier also has integrated locks to keep your snowboards safe and secure.
