Question:

What is difference between this part and 11070? Looks like they should both fit my 2003 Jetta wagon 2.0 and appear to be same mfr. Any advice?

The Curt Trailer Hitch # 11083 and # 11070 are very similar. But there is one important difference. If you look at them side by side, you will notice that # 11083, which will fit your 2003 VW Jetta Wagon, has a receiver tube that is attached under the cross tubing of the hitch. The 11070 hitch has a receiver tube that is mounted straight out from the cross tubing.

The Wagon is designed with a lower rear fascia than the sedan models, so it requires the hitch with the lower receiver tube. I have included a link to the installation details for Curt Hitch, # 11083, for you to view.

This hitch comes with a ball mount, pin and clip. If you plan on doing some towing, you can use ball # 19256 (1-7/8 inch diameter) or # 19258 (2 inch diameter). For trailer wiring use # C59496. I have included a link to the installation details for you to view.
