Question:
I have to back the RV into a residential driveway from the street. There is a dip from the street onto the apron of the driveway. The apron is at a small incline. Can the XL handle this for a 4500 lb rv?

The Trailer Valet XL Trailer Dolly with Chain Drive # TVXL25 referenced in your question should work very well for your application. It features a tongue weight capacity of 1,000 pounds and a gross trailer weight capacity of 10,000 pounds, so the weight of your trailer will not be an issue. As for the small dip at the beginning of your driveway, the Trailer Valet actually has two different gears (high and low) specifically designed to allow for effortless driving even over inclines and lips like what you described. Also keep in mind that the system includes a drill bit that will let you power the gears with your drill, making for an even easier operation.
This particular model is designed for a 2-5/16 inch hitch ball. For a 2 inch hitch ball, you can use # TVXL2.
I have attached a couple short demonstration videos on this product so you can get a better look at how everything handles and operates.
