Question:
My pickup truck is a silverado 1500 2008 6.0L, I would like to know the diferences between the 9000 and the 800 0series I live in central FL and tow a 8500 lbs boat about 6 to 8 times a year, what tans oil cooler would you recommend?

There are a couple of differences between the 8000 series Derale transmission coolers like # D13504, and the 9000 series like # D13613.
First, the 8000 Series features furnace-brazed aluminum construction, integrated high flow 3/4 inch turbulators for cooling efficiency, and 11/32 inch hose barb inlets.
The 9000 series also features a furnace-brazed aluminum construction, but it has integrated high flow 1-1/4 inch turbulators for even more efficiency. It also uses 1/2 inch NPT female cooler inlets and comes with an integrated four-point mounting bracket.
I think that the 8000 series # D13504 that you have referenced would be an excellent choice. It has a 12,000 pound capacity and is more economically priced than a 9000 series. You will also need fitting # D13035. I have included a link to our transmission cooler FAQ article for you to view.
