Question:
I was wondering about your Optronics Trailer Lights STL69RB. Ive read the reviews and havent seen anyone with the problem that Im having. I purchased 2 of these trailer lights and dont have 50 miles on them and one has already failed. All the tail light leds except one have stopped working on one of the light bars. The stop light leds all continue to work. I need to replace the light but I dont want to replace one or both with trailer lights that are short lived. Your comment please.

The Sealed, Thin Line, Over 80" LED Trailer Stop/Turn/Tail Light, 3-Function, 11 Diode # STL69RB has had great reviews with our customers. You can test the light by simply connecting that brake wire to a 12V power. This will let you know if the light is bad or if the wiring is bad leading up to it. Most of the time when a single function isn't working correctly it is due to a poor ground wire connection. I recommend making sure your ground wire connection is bare metal to metal and then testing the tail light function.
If the light is not working with a good ground wire connection, then you will need to replace the light. If the light works, then I recommend tracing the wire using a circuit tester like # PTW2993 to find a short and replace the wire where necessary.
