Question:
Hi, I am looking for a spare tire mount that fits on the front tongue of a 2017 T@G Max camper. The thing is that if I put the FSTC1000301on the frame, once the tire is on parallel to the frame it will interfere with the handle on the trailer jack located on top of jack vs the side or front when it is turned. That being said, can this same mount be installed on the trailer jack with the brackets be installed horizontally vs vertically on the frame with the bolts provided or U-bolts that will wrap around the 2inch diameter trailer jack? Or is there frame mount that jets out away from the base of the mount more that 4.5 inches? I think I need 2-3 more inches. Thank you for your help.

The Fulton Hi-Mount Spare Tire Carrier - Fits 4- and 5-Lug Wheels # FSTC1000301 is not intended to be mounted horizontally. For that application, I recommend the CE Smith Offset Spare Trailer Tire Carrier - Galvanized Steel - 4- and 5-Lug Wheels # CE27310G. If you want something further away from the trailer that is vertical, I recommend the Fulton Hi-Mount Spare Tire Carrier - Fits 4-, 5-, and 6-Lug Wheels # FHDSTC0101 which gives you a 4-3/4 inch lift and a 7 inch offset.
A final option to consider is the Ultra-Fab Folding Spare Tire Carrier for Trailers and RVs - Bumper Mount # UF15-954730 which will easily tilt out of the way for you to allow more versatility that a standard hard mounted carrier.
