Recommended Manual Jack System for Fleetwood Truck Bed Camper

Question:
I just recently bought a 1999 Fleetwood Elkhorn Truck Camper. I have been using a number of times since I bought it and notice that once of the jacks will lift the camper only so far before the gears start to slip. As I am brand new to the world of Campers i am not sure what maintenance i should perform on the jacks and once it starts to slip can I adjust it? Also, if i need to replace the whole jack would it be better to replace all or just the one?

For your 1999 Fleetwood Elkhorn Truck Camper, the electric jacks are notorious for failing and replacement parts are not easy to find. We unfortunately don't have the threaded rod you need to keep your jack from slipping. Manually adjusting it won't change the slipping issue, so you will need to use standard stabilizer jacks and a manual lift.
The Brophy Heavy Duty Cable Camper Jacks - 57" Max Lift Height - 4,000 lbs - Qty 2 # CXHD is the best system we have available and what I recommend for your application. Many of the electric jack systems fail so having a manual jack like this is the route that is less expensive in the long run and more reliable.
