Can I Install The Reese Friction Sway Control # 83660 On The Left Side Of Trailer
Updated 05/12/2011 | Published 05/11/2011 >
Question:
I am looking at the 83660 because it says it will left side mount thereby not getting in the way of my flip down tongue jack. Can this be used on the same side as the tongue jack....if is it put on upside down or inside out on the left side?

If your flip-down tongue jack is mounted on the outside of your trailer frame, you will not be able to mount the Reese Friction Style Sway-Control System, part # 83660, on the same side. The friction sway-control system will mount to the frame of the trailer.
I would recommend mounting part # 83660 on the opposite side of your jack. I have linked instructions for the Reese Friction Style Sway-Control System, part # 83660, and an FAQ on weight distribution and sway control.
