Question:
I need the hitch for my 2 bike carrier, on my 2011 chevy cruze. Other hitches say I need a hitch strap. Is this needed with your hitch for carrying bikes?

Expert Reply:
The Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch, # 24882, does not require a stabilization strap when carrying non-trailer loads such as a bike rack. But it is a good idea on a class I trailer hitch just because it relieves some of the stress on the hitch. If you decide to use a strap, you can use # 18050.
Since this is a class I trailer hitch, you will need to make sure your bike rack is compatible. Some racks cannot be used on a class I trailer hitch. If you find you do need a rack that is compatible with a class I trailer hitch, I recommend the Thule Camber, # TH9058. I have included a link to the installation details and a video review for reference.
