What would you have as far as a programmer goes for my 2008 F350 with a 5.4 L engine. Will the Edge Evolution Programmer, Item # EP59YR work?

For your 2008 Ford F-35, the Edge Evolution CTS3 Programmer part # EP59YR is a confirmed to fit. This gives you a full 5" color touch screen with auto-dimming.
You could also look at using the Edge EvoHT2 Hand-Held Performance Tuner part # EP16040.
The EvoHT2 has several different functions. For starters, it has a 2.8" color high resolution LCD screen with d-pad controls to provide easy menu and data access. The tuner will also allow you to adjust several different vehicle parameters in addition to being able to read/clear engine diagnostic troubleshooting codes (DTC's).
It comes pre-loaded with vehicle-specific tunes to boost throttle response, towing performance, and fuel efficiency. Edge claims that this device can increase horsepower and torque up to 25HP and 49TQ respectively.
