Question:
Hello there. I have a new dock system in place and I need some mechanical advantage to be able to pull two, one at a time, out of the water and up an approximate 20 degree slope. The floats on each section have large wheels so will roll fairly easily, but they weigh approximately 800 lbs each. Any recommendation for manual or powered AC, not DC winches that would be suitable for this?

There are both manual and electric winches which will work for you. For an electric winch, I recommend the Dutton-Lainson StrongArm Electric Winch, AC Powered - 2,700 lbs # DL24965. This winch draws 6 amps at 120 volts, has a full load speed of 7 feet per minute and a cable that is 7/32" diameter x 25' long. It can be mounted using the Mounting Adapter Plate for StrongArm Electric Winches # DL24055 or Angle Mounting Plate for StrongArm Electric Winches # DL24059 and the Quick Mount Kit for StrongArm Electric Winches # DL70309.
For a manual winch I recommend checking out the Fulton 2-Speed Trailer Winch with Heavy Duty 20' Strap - 3,200 lbs # F142424. This winch has a shift lock design so you can change the gears and not have to move the handle. It comes with a 2" strap which is 20' long. I have included a link to a review video of this winch for you to take a look at.
