Availability of Class III Hitch for 2017 Hyundai Tucson

Updated 09/08/2017 | Published 09/07/2017

Question:

I own a 2017 hyuandai Tucson SE and I want to put a class 3 hitch and a Burr mobile lift model#19675 on this car. I have a Pride go-go elite and a luggie scooter The elite is 99 lbs and the luggie is 54 lbs. 2 lift companies said this car would not be able to accommodate this lift that it would damage my car and void the warranty and 2 companies said I could with no problem. Very confused Would love your expert opinion on this subject Thank you

I looked up the weight of the Burr you are considering and it is right at 62 lbs which isn't too bad. With a Class III hitch like the part # 75836 installed on your 2017 Hyundai Tucson that has a 525 lb tongue weight capacity I don't see this being a problem at all unless Hyundai states you have a lower tongue weight capacity.

You'd need to check with them to be sure.
