Can Brake Controller be Left Installed in Vehicle without Causing Problems

Question:
Would leaving it pulged in without the attatched or towing. Could that result in a burned out fuse or a reset of the divise?

Brake controllers like the Draw Tite part # 5504 that you referenced are designed to be left plugged in to the vehicle at all times. You would be totally find to leave it connected when not towing. It would just be sitting there waiting for you to connect a trailer without harming anything else.
