Replacement Carriage Bolt and Washer Plate for Thule Sidearm Bike Carrier

Question:

I have old version Thule Sidearm Wheel-Mount Bike Carrier similar to TH594. It has T bolts, which are to short 60 mm for hight of Rhino rack or Thule Aero Bars. I cannot find t bolt 80 mm long for replacement. 915-068-054 replacement bolt is long enough, but has round head. Thank you.

The 80mm Carriage Bolt, part # 915-068-054 is actually the correct part, and is designed to have a round head.

You may be missing part # 853-0333-02 , a washer plate that allows for the 80mm carriage bolt to sit in the channel underneath the plate. This will give it the additional height from the larger carriage bolt the ability to tighten down the mounting brackets.

I've highlighted the carriage bolt, marked at GG, and the washer plate, marked as S, on the parts diagram from the instructions for the newer version of the Sidearm. This should line up with the picture of the track that you included.
