Recommended Trailer Hitch for a 2000 Chevrolet 3500 Van
Published 08/11/2017 >
Question:
I want to put a bumper with a trailer hitch to haul a 4x8 trailer on my 2000 chevy 3500 van. Do I have to replace the entire bumper or is there a hitch I can mount on the frame that is in good shape?

For your 2000 Chevrolet 3500 Van, I recommend the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch, # 75189.
This hitch mounts to the frame of the van with no drilling required during installation. The Draw-Tite hitch has a sturdy welded steel construction. The hitch has a 5,000 lbs gross trailer weight capacity and a 500 lbs max tongue weight rating.
The trailer hitch is rated Class III and uses the 2x2 inch receiver opening.
