Does T-Connector Wiring Harness # 56091 Connect to the Battery on a 2011 Subaru Legacy

With this wiring kit do you need to run a wire to the battery? It appears not to need this to me.

The Curt Circuit Protected T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness, # 56091, does not require a power wire to the vehicle battery. It is a T-connector that plugs in line with the vehicle tail lights. Only the ground wire needs to be manually attached to a bare metal surface. I have included a link to the installation details for you to view.
